“Wild Flower is a stunning exploration of family ties in the realm of mental illness. It is set on the breathtaking Scottish Coast and stars the equally breathtaking Kate Dickie.
This was a short film funded by Creative England’s iShort’s program, directed by Claire Molloy and previewed at Flatpack, Leigh, BFI London & Aesthetica Short Film festivals.”
My involvement in this production was to compose, perform, produce and master the soundtrack for the film. The brief was to remain relatively sparse with instrumentation (focussing mainly on organic, tactile sounding acoustic instruments such as acoustic guitar) to give an ethereal, surreal spacious feel reflecting the location of being close to the sea.
